A Museum Quality Art Print of Turtle Rocks in a Sea of Red on the Dolly Sods. The artwork shows a carpet of red from the fall colors of the blueberry bushes surrounding some large rocks, which I believe are the Turtle Rocks, with a few wild mountain laurel bushes scattered throughout. There are a few red spruce trees to the right and on the left is a big stand of the spruce trees. Due west is the big expanse of the sphagnum moss plains, which reminds you of the tundra, it is a wet soggy area filled with moss several inches deep. There are also some blotches of red throughout this plain as well as some stunted spruce trees that are trying to grow but not having much luck in this harsh climate. It takes hundreds and hundreds of years for spruce trees to grow to full maturity in the Sods, they were all heavily timbered about 100 years ago, so there isn't much size to any of these trees yet.
