A type 53 example of Confederate Money that was issued from Richmond Virginia on December 02, 1862. The grade is very fine, there is still some crispness left in the paper along with some pinholes. The center vignette shows the capitol of Virginia, located in Richmond, at the right is a portrait of C. G. Memminger, who served the Confederacy as Secretary of the Treasury through most of the Civil War era.
