South Carolina Obsolete Money Exchange Bank twenty dollar banknote
SKU: SC Exchange Bank 20 dollars
An obsolete South Carolina twenty dollar banknote issued by the Exchange Bank of Columbia SC in 1853. The center vignette features Liberty seated with an eagle and farm products on the left side of her while on the right is a ship's anchor. On the left are vignettes of 3 maidens representing Faith, Hope and Love. The condition of this antebellum currency is fine with a plain back. A fairly scarce piece of Southern money. The picture shows the actual SC obsolete banknote that is for sale at Brandywine General Store.
