A twenty dollar obsolete banknote from the Merchant's Bank of South Carolina issued on July 20, 1857 from Cheraw SC. A beautiful green tint note with a vignette of Industry and Agriculture in the center, an unknown female portrait is in the left corner and on the right is a train. This southern state money will grade choice very fine with an added bonus of a low 2 digit serial number of 40. The back is plain.
