A Museum Quality Print of Cows Grazing on a Summer Pasture by Anton Schrodl for sale by Brandywine General Store. This scenic landscape shows a rugged farming scene on the top of a high mountain. This is supposed to be the summer pasture, but here around the watering trough the grass is gone, probably from the cows trampling over this area all the time. The whole area is rocky and rugged, probably not many cattle can be pastured here, the farmers earn their money by pasturing this area. Two men are walking up the mountain path to check on the cows. The watering trough is hand hewn out of an old log with a wooden bucket setting on the end. The farmers probably use this bucket for grain or feed for the cattle when needed, or maybe to get the cows tamer. You can see the peaks of two other mountains across the pass.
