A rare twenty dollar banknote issued by the Planters Bank of the state of Mississippi from Natchez, MS in 1839 paying six percent interest until due. The center vignette features Liberty and Justice along the riverbank with a mirror between them reflecting American prosperity. Ships are visible in the river and an eagle is perched on the mirror. A clipper ship is in the small bottom oval. On each end standing is Hope with an anchor. The serial number is 798 and the condition is very fine with pieces out of the edges.
