Lee General Robert E. 1870 Engraved Portrait No Border and Name Added
A Museum Quality Print of an 1870 Portrait of General Robert E. Lee, engraved by A. B Walter of England and done from a photo taken in real life. The copyright date was 1870, which was the year in which Robert E. Lee died. Lee was the leader of the Southern Confederate States of America forces during the entire period of the Civil War from 1861 to 1865 and is considered by many to be one of the best military leaders in modern history. We have added an antique mat to resemble a frame to this portrait. On this print of the famous CSA commander we have not added a border and have reprinted the name at the bottom. The letters were weak on the original photograph.
At Fine Art Prints of Distinction we painstakingly repair the original files of these old paintings and print them using professional quality inks and paper. The end result is a beautiful, archival reproduction print that will last in your home for generations and at a low cost so anyone can now have great artworks hanging in their home or business. Brandywine General Store is proud to offer for sale a premium print made from the 1870 Portrait of General Robert E. Lee with no border and reprinted name at the bottom.
