IL Obsolete Currency Crosby Opera House Art Association Coupon
An obsolete 1866 coupon from the Crosby Opera House art Association in Chicago Illinois which entitled the bearer to one fine steel engraving upon its surrender. Even though this is just a coupon it has the look of Civil War obsolete currency. The value of each of this coupons was stated as five dollars. We have more than one Chicago Opera House coupon available for sale at Brandywine General Store but we have included a picture of each one we currently have in stock. The backs of these obsolete notes were plain but each one has a stamp which I believe was a cancellation of when these were used for their free engraving.
