Georgia Obsolete Currency Merchants and Planters Bank twenty dollars
A twenty dollar Obsolete Banknote from the Merchants and Planters Bank issued from Savannah Georgia on June 1, 1860. This obsolete GA currency will only technically grade fine, but has a much higher choice appearance. The red overprints are still vivid as they were over a century and a half ago and the centering is almost perfect. A wonderfully executed note that was made by the American Bank Note Company, as the Civil War hadn't officially started as of the printing of this bill, the American Bank Note Co was still making notes in the South. The back is plain and the fold marks show up on the back. The picture shows the actual Georgia Confederate money that is for sale at Brandywine General Store.
