Georgia Obsolete Currency Merchants and Planters Bank fifty dollars
SKU: GA Merchants and Planters 50 dollars 584
A fifty dollar red tint obsolete banknote issued by the Merchants and Planters Bank from Savannah Georgia in the antebellum period of 1860. The center vignette shows horses fighting and an eagle on top of a shield, probably a representation of something to do with the looming Civil War. On the left is a man with a long rifle and bayonet. The condition of this Georgia money is fine with a plain back as issued. The picture shows the actual front and back of the Obsolete fifty dollar southern banknote that is for sale at Brandywine General Store.
