Georgia Obsolete Currency CR-14 Fifty Cents Treasury Note
Georgia confederate money being the fifty cent Treasury Note issued January 1, 1863 from Milledgeville GA. The vignette in the center of this civil war currency is of a group of workmen talking with each other and at the bottom is the Georgia Coat of Arms. The terms of the note are as follows: The state of Georgia will pay the bearer fifty cents at the treasury in confederate treasury notes when presented in sums of five dollars and upwards. Signed by the comptroller general and the treasurer, or by people signing for them.
