Georgia Obsolete Currency Farmers and Mechanics Bank Five Dollars 1860
A nice example of Georgia Civil War Currency from the Farmers and Mechanics Bank issued June 1, 1860 from Savannah Georgia, a pre Civil War note and as such was able to be produced by the American Bank Note company and is one of their beautiful red tint notes. The back of this Civil War Currency is plain and is commensurate with the condition. The only distraction are several small pinholes, which is common with currency of this era. The terms of this note are as follows: The Farmers and Mechanics Bank Will pay to bearer Five Dollars on demand. Savannah, June 1, 1860. The picture shows the actual Georgia Obsolete Currency that is for sale at Brandywine General Store.
