Georgia Obsolete Currency Farmers and Mechanics Bank Ten Dollar Note
A beautiful ten dollar red overprint note issued by the Farmers and Mechanics Bank on June 01, 1860 from Savannah GA. This nicely executed note features a southern woman on the left side representing States Rights, the center scene is a herd of cattle and on the right is John C. Calhoun. The banking institution's name is printed in red along with red counters, Xs and TEN, which makes a very attractive piece of southern money. We have more than one Farmers and Mechanics Bank obsolete notes available for sale at Brandywine General Store but we have included a picture of each bill we currently have in stock.
