Georgia Obsolete Currency CR-05 Five Dollar Treasury Note
A Five Dollar Obsolete Treasury Note issued from Milledgeville, Georgia in 1862 with James Oglethorpe in the center vignette dressed in military dress and reading. Round medallions with V are on each side of him. At the bottom is the Georgia coat of arms with Registered. On the Criswell GA treasury notes designated CR-05 the backs have a black treasury seal, which these all do. We show the back of one bill so you can see what it looks like. We have several Georgia obsolete five dollar treasury bills available for sale at Brandywine General Store and in different conditions, we have included a generic picture of each grade we have in our inventory.
In our grouping listed as Almost Uncirculated with faults, these treasury bills will have a small corner missing, or bad ink burn resulting in apertures at the signatures or more yellowing or toning of the paper than normal. They are still nice looking bills though.
