Florida Obsolete Money CR40 One Dollar Treasury Bill 1864
A one dollar Treasury Note from the sparsely populated state of Florida that was issued late in the Civil War era on January 01, 1864 from Tallahassee. The lower left vignette is Alfred L. Elwyn as a child, this is a remarkable choice for any CSA currency as Mr. Elywn was a staunch Northern sympathizer. The vignette on the upper left corner is a seal containing Justice and Ceres, the center is a large cotton field scene. This Florida treasury note will grade very fine and is choice in appearance, but does have a pinhole beside the portrait of Mr Elywn. The picture shows the actual front and back of the Florida Confederate Money that is for sale at Brandywine General Store.
