SKU: 51 botanical

An archival premium quality art print of the Round Leaved Cyclamen or Persian Violet published in the Botanical Magazine in 1788 for sale by Brandywine General Store. The picture as drawn by William Curtis shows a full plant with several purple blooms, leaves and the root system. The Round Leaved Cyclamen was described by Curtis "This plant grows wild in many parts of Italy and Germany and is sometimes found with white flowers. As it grows naturally in woods and shady places, it will thrive best in a mixture of bog earth and loam placed in a Northern border. If planted in the open, it will require to be covered with a hand glass through the winter and in spring when in bloom, can be brought inside in pots to decorate the parlor or study. This flower is best propagated by seed as it does not generously spread by the roots. Cyclamen Coum. Botanical art print #51
