A Museum Quality Art Print of The Cheyenne Brothers Returning from the Fall Hunt by George Catlin. This wild west and Indian artist finished this oil on card sometime during the period of 1861 to 1869. The artwork is now in the National Gallery of Art coming there from the Paul Mellon collection. The scene shows Indian Braves coming up on a campsite where there has been a massacre. Several skulls are laying around with buzzards flying overhead and the wild animals still feasting at the site. A barrel is in the foreground which had belonged to a fur company.
