Alabama Obsolete Currency City of Mobile One Dollar Scrip



Obsolete Scrip from the City of Mobile Savings Bank $1 May 1862 with natural paper folds will grade very fine. This antiquated note has an image of a cotton plant blooming on the left side with the date, May 1862. On the right side is the number one stretching from top to bottom of the bill's face. Inside of the that image is a circle and a block of text saying "When the amount is Five Dollars or its Multiple." The terms of this obsolete note are "City of Mobile. Mobile Savings Bank. Pay the Bearer One Dollar in Confederate Notes." The picture shows the actual Alabama confederate money that is for sale at Brandywine General Store.
