Sorry, this item is out of stock
A pair of NOS 1976 Kansas passenger car license plates, these unused '76 KS DMV automobile tags are dark blue with white letters, Kansas 76 are at the top. The Kansas Department of Motor Vehicles had issued single tags since 1956, for some reason in 1976 they decided to go back to issuing pairs. It seems as if the state's motorists only wanted a single tag, because in April of 1975 the state DMV had to go back to a single license plate due to public outcry. Therefore, the pairs are fairly scarce since they were only produced thru April of the preceding year. The DMV registration number is HPZ - 5 with the condition being New Old Stock Excellent, a scratch on the one plate is all that keeps them from being near mint. The picture shows the actual pair of 1976 Kansas car license plates that are available for sale at Brandywine General Store.
