1945 West Virginia License Plate
A 1945 West Virginia passenger automobile license plate for sale at Brandywine General Store, which will grade very good. The WV department of motor vehicles only issued single tags for the state's motorists to use on their vehicles during this last year of World War II. This World War II tag will look a lot better than the picture when you clean it up, there is a lot of dirt and grime on it that should come off with a gentle washing. In order to save metal during the war years most states only produced 1 tag during the period of 1942 to 1945, West Virginia stayed with this scheme and to this day still only produces one tag for their automobiles. There were no cars produced during the model year of 1945, however these are highly collectible as some people like to try and collect all the WWII license plates from all the states. The picture shows the actual 1945 West Virginia passenger car license plate that is for sale at Brandywine General Store.
