A Museum Quality Art Print of a Paradise Landscape with Animals by Jan Brueghel the Younger for sale by Brandywine General Store. The artist finished this artwork during the period of 1613 to 1615 with the size of the original being 24 by 35 inches and is now at the Vienna Museum of Fine Arts. Christies recently sold this medieval painting for the sum of 2.9 million dollars. The alternate title of this work is Entering Noah's Ark. In the center of the composition we can see Lot and his two daughters dressed in the period attire of Flemish peasants, who, accompanied by their loaded pack mules, stop for a rest on the forest path. These figures though are lost because of the many animals in the Garden of Eden which draw our attention instead. There are tigers, turkeys, guinea pigs, turtles, porcupines, goats, swine, horses, cows, camels, peacocks, ostrich, squirrels, mice, lions, rabbits, dogs, deer, roosters, donkeys, buffalo and pheasants. In the bare tree are birds, two monkeys playing below and wildcats skulking among the upper branches. On the left hand side are water fowl congregating in the water and the reeds. Bruehgel borrowed a few of these animals, the tussling leopards, the lions and the white steed from the drawings and paintings of his friend and associate, Rubens. Old Masters painting #71
