An archival premium Quality art Print of Weaver Facing Left with Spinning Wheel by Vincent Van Gogh for sale by Brandywine General Store. The artist finished this oil on canvas in March 1884. In Nuenen, between January and August of 1884, Van Gogh depicts the figure of the weaver in working at the loom in several pen drawings, watercolors and oil paintings. In this small village of Northern Brabant, to where his family moved in September 1882, more than 400 people took up weaving during the winter months when agricultural labor was suspended for the year because of the bad weather. This series of paintings kept in step with Van Gogh's artworks featuring peasants and laborers. This composition shows what the title suggests, a worker is setting behind a large black loom, weaving what looks like a red rug. In front of him is a spinning wheel with a white cloth that has just been spun and not taken off the wheel yet. The red of the rug is about the only color in this painting. Famous artists print #200
