S. J. Patterson Wholesale Coal Advertising Print
A Museum Quality Print of S. J. Patterson Wholesale Coal Company for sale by Brandywine General Store. At the left of this vintage advertisement is Western and Southern Shipper of Anthracite coal and also miner and shipper of Jackson Coal. In the center of this great ad is a parlor scene, late at night, showing a young man and woman courting in front of a big coal burning fire, the father must have heard a noise because he is coming thru the door with a pistol. He is shocked to see his daughter in such behaviour. At the top is a coal miner with a burning lamp in his hat and two of the coal yards and loading terminals of S. J. Patterson. At the bottom is a train scene with the stocking shed which was located in Cincinnati Ohio and at the right is another coal miner, this one shown setting down and digging the coal out by hand with a pick axe.
