An archival premium Quality art Print of Two Sisters on the Terrace painted by the French Impressionist Artist Pierre Auguste Renoir in 1881 for sale by Brandywine General Store. The location of the artists work was on the upper terrace of the Restaurant Fournaise along the Seine River at Chatou. Chatou, a suburb of Paris and Renoir thought it an ideal leisure spot, this was the second of his paintings from the same terrace. Two sisters on the Terrace was named by the art dealer Paul Durand-Reul when he bought the painting from Renoir in July 1881, but in fact the two girls were not related. The eldest girl was Jeanne Darlot who lived from 1863 to 1914, who went on to have a theatrical career for awhile. It has never been found out who the child was that posed for the younger sister. This painting is thought by many to be one of the best of Renoir's artistic career. Famous artists print #72
