This particular orchid was tab or picture number 88 in the huge reference book, Reichenbachia by Fredrick Sanders, being drawn in 1888. The Oncidium Tigrinum Orchid is found in the Jalisco and Michoacan states in Mexico on mountain slopes facing the Pacific Ocean at elevations of 4500 to 7,000 feet.
