This antique painting shows an early scene in this famous Italian City. Many gondolas are plying the river which has an old bridge with arches over the water. Buildings are on both sides of the canal with many people walking over the bridge to get from side to side. The original oil on canvas was completed by the artist during the period of 1775 to 1780.
