Buchser, Frank - Old Virginia art print
An archival premium Quality art Print of Old Virginia by Frank Buchser for sale by Brandywine General Store. This canvas was completed by the artist in 1870 with the original measuring 27 by 38 inches in size and is now in a private collection. The picture shows an old log plantation style home with a stone and brick flue going up the side, the porch sets way up off the ground with many steps leading up to it, there must have been a full basement underneath the house. Behind the house is a large outbuilding with another chimney, this was probably the wash house and work area for the kitchen. Corn is behind a board fence and is planted right up to the edge of the house, while horses are tied to the front of the fence. Trees and Vines are all around the house, making a beautiful garden like setting, the road runs right beside the front of the house with rose of sharon flowers in the lower left corner. Everything looks real enough to be a photograph instead of a painting. Country Decor art print #104
