1944 Maine Truck License Plate
An Antique 1944 Maine Commercial Truck License Plate, this '44 ME World War II DMV Truck Tag is black with yellow letters, Maine is printed across the top along with 1944, while at the bottom is the state slogan, Vacationland, Com is printed vertically to the left of the DMV number. This license plate looks unused or if it was used it was for a very short period, the condition is very good plus. The Department of Motor Vehicles registration number is 8 - 219. This is a rare metal license plate from the World War II years, as a lot of states did not use metal for license plates because it was in such short supply due to the war effort.
